・The most common waterproof rating for a wristwatch is "water resistant to 3 ATM" (sometimes it is also labeled "WATER RESISTANT" or "W.R.").
This is also called "water resistant for everyday use (classified as a Class 1 waterproof watch under the JIS standard)" and indicates that the watch can withstand sweat, rain, and water droplets that get on the watch when washing your face.
Although it is considered "everyday use," it is not recommended to wear the watch when doing water-related tasks such as washing dishes or washing laundry by hand. Of course, it cannot be used in situations where strong water pressure may be present, such as bathing, water sports, or skin diving.
